Trapsing around London

We had a 6 hour layover at the Heathrow airport so we decided to take the train into London and use the Underground and our feet to see the sights.  Mary Beth was a great navigator; David took many pictures, which we will load later; Sherry helped me see London with fresh eyes; I just enjoyed the walk and the sights and the company of friends.
We have been blessed on every leg of the journey.  The International terminals in both airports have been eerily empty, so we've managed without a single que so far.  We had extra room on the plane from Chicago, so we could spread out and actually sleep.  The weather in London today provided just the right temperature, and the sky was partly cloudy.
We've all enjoyed learning the King's English.  Do you know the meaning of the following:  mind the gap,  way out, soft ice, left baggage, stopping London?
The boarding call for Johannesburg sounded, so we're on our way.
